Trips

Tell business from leisure at a glance, and get destination ideas worth exploring.

Trips is a lightweight planning app that predicts the purpose of a journey and recommends where to go. Travel managers and anyone shaping a trip reach for it to classify travel and find inspiration before the detailed search begins.

What you can do

  • Predict whether a trip is business or leisure from its route and dates, with a confidence score.
  • Get recommended destinations from a chosen origin city, ranked by relevance.
  • Save predictions and recommendations to a Saved Trips list, with notes attached.
  • Review saved items by type — purpose prediction or recommendation — and by status.
  • Track each saved trip through its lifecycle — saved or archived — for a tidy planning record.

How to use it

An administrator switches Trips on from Settings → Apps. Once enabled, it appears in your main navigation as the Trip Planner.

To classify a journey, enter the origin and destination airports and both dates, then run the prediction to see whether it reads as business or leisure and how confident the result is. To explore ideas, enter just an origin city and get a ranked list of destinations. Save the predictions and recommendations worth keeping so your planning thinking stays in one place.

Working with your agent

Describe the journey or just an origin and your agent runs the prediction or pulls recommendations and saves the results.

You: "Is a return trip from London to New York over a weekend more likely business or leisure?"
Agent: Runs the prediction and reports the likely purpose with a confidence score.

How it fits

Trips sits ahead of the detailed search apps — Flights, Hotels and Destinations — helping you frame a journey before booking it, and its outputs inform a Travel Planner request. Your agent can classify trips and suggest destinations on request.

Tip. Use the recommendations as a starting point for a planning conversation — pair a ranked destination with a flight search to turn an idea into a costed option in minutes.
