WhatsApp

Talk to your Sois agent — and your customers — over WhatsApp.

WhatsApp connects your business number to Sois so messages flow both ways. Admins reach for it to let trusted team members run the agent from their phone, and to handle customer chats on the channel they already use.

What you can do

  • Connect your existing business number using a one-time verification code.
  • Let whitelisted phone numbers message the agent securely over WhatsApp.
  • Add team members to the channel so each runs the agent with their own permissions.
  • Send a welcome message automatically when a new member joins.
  • Receive customer messages into your reply threads, with replies going back out on WhatsApp.
  • Let the assistant answer incoming customer messages when it is highly confident, leaving the rest for your team.
  • Check connection status and send a test message to confirm everything is live.

How to use it

An admin switches WhatsApp on from Settings → Apps, then connects the business number — enter the display name customers will see and verify with the code sent to you. If that number currently runs the WhatsApp app, release it there first.

Next, add the numbers and team members allowed to use the channel. Each member's messages run under their own account, so permissions stay intact. For customer-facing chat, you can let the assistant reply on its own when confident — it never discusses money or confirms bookings, which always go to your team.

Working with your agent

Once connected, your agent is reachable from WhatsApp: message it like any chat and it acts with your permissions. It can also send WhatsApp messages to whitelisted numbers on your behalf.

You: "Send a WhatsApp to +447700900123 letting them know their order has shipped."
Agent: Sends the WhatsApp message to that whitelisted number and confirms it went out.

How it fits

WhatsApp matches incoming senders to your Contacts and shares the same messaging rail as Dialer for SMS and voice. Because it runs the agent with per-user permissions, it pairs naturally with Connect your agent.

Tip. Keep the whitelist tight — only numbers you add can reach the agent, which keeps the channel private and safe.
