Expedia is a broad search-and-book app spanning four travel products in a single place. Anyone arranging a complete trip — somewhere to stay, a car, a flight and things to do — reaches for it.
What you can do
- Search 750,000+ hotels and properties by city, neighbourhood or landmark, with star and guest ratings, room types, amenities and photos.
- Find rental cars by location and dates, comparing vendor, category, transmission, seats and price.
- Search flights by origin, destination, dates and cabin class, comparing airline, route, stops and price.
- Discover activities, tours and experiences with duration, meeting points, available time slots and offers.
- Save any property, car, flight or activity to its own list, add notes, and track each through saved, booked, expired or archived.
How to use it
An administrator switches Expedia on from Settings → Apps. Once enabled, its four sections — Properties, Flights, Cars and Activities — appear in your main navigation.
Pick the product you need and search: enter a destination and dates, then refine by guests, rooms, cabin or vehicle as relevant. Open a property for full content — photos, amenities and ratings — or check live time slots for an activity. Save the options worth keeping, and mark an item as booked once it is confirmed. A single overview pulls together everything you have saved across all four product types.
Working with your agent
Describe the destination and what you need and your agent searches the right product and saves the best options.
You: "Find a five-star hotel and a hire car in Barcelona for the first week of April"
Agent: Searches both products for those dates and saves the top property and car options.
How it fits
Expedia links saved items to people in Contacts and can supply the booking options behind Travel Planner cards. It overlaps with Flights & Stays but adds car hire and activities in one catalogue, and your agent can search and save across all four products on request.
Tip. Open a property's full details before saving — photos, amenities and the guest-rating breakdown give a far truer picture than the search-result summary.
